Svetlana at the IHOP

August 26, 2009

We made it to Erie, PA!  We are staying here overnight and finishing up the last 2 hours of our trip tomorrow.

The day started VERY early at 4:15 AM.  We got up and loaded up the van and headed out to avoid traffic in Chicago.  We made it through the dark, the rain and the traffic and headed through Indiana, all with the help of our Garmin friend that we decided to name Svetlana.

Svetty (as she came to be known) was a pretty good guide although she did randomly turn her volume up very high and once time did a triple axel off the dashboard to hit me in the knee HARD.

Once the sun came up and we got out of Chicago I busted out brekkie:

Granola bar (split with Molly), an apple, a fish oil and a vitamin washed down with water:

We stopped for breakfast part 2 in Indiana and some hijinks ensued:

I had a fruit and yogurt parfait and bought a car charger for my cell phone since I forgot my charger at home.

We drove through to Cleveland and stopped at an IHOP for lunch.  Before we got to Cleveland there was lots of this:

Are we there yet?  Did we forget our mascara?!?!

Is this all there is to see?!?!

We made it and the plans for tonight include some swimming, some dinner and an early bed time!
